Did You Know? Wild Rover the song is at least as old as the 16th century. It's a staple song for bands in the pubs of Ireland and it's considered to be a drinking song. It's the most widely performed Irish song but the origins of it are unknown. The Dubliners recorded their version of it on their 33rd album called Wild Rover

Did You Know? John Mellencamp wrote Jack & Diane about the Tennessee Williams film Sweet Bird of Youth. He considered it a terrible record to make and found it hard to make the timing sound good with a full band. He said that the clapping was originally used only a a guide to keep time and was going to be removed but then he realised that the song didn't work without it. The electric guitar player on the song is Mick Ronson from David Bowie's band, John said about working with him - 

'Mick was very instrumental in helping me arrange that song, as I'd thrown it on the junk heap. All of a sudden, for 'Jack & Diane,' Mick said, 'Johnny, you should put baby rattles on there.' I thought, 'What the f*ck does put baby rattles on the record mean?' So he put the percussion on there and then he sang the part 'let it rock, let it roll' as a choir-ish-type thing, which had never occurred to me. And that is the part everybody remembers on the song. It was Ronson's idea'

Did You Know? Folsom Prison Blues was written in 1955 and recorded on Johnny Cash's very first album John Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar! He since recorded 97 albums and even performed the song live to in mates at Folsom State Prison in 1968. It was the song that he played first at almost every live performance he did and Rolling Stone Magazine considers Folsom Prison Blues to be the 51st greatest song of all time.

Did You Know? Handle With Care was the first song recorded and released by the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys featuring George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne & Tom Petty. The bad originally started as a joke. They were going to put the song on the B side of a George Harrison single, but when the record label heard the song they said it was too good and urged the band to do more.

Sadly last music video for the song was the last that Roy Orbison filmed before he passed away.

Did You Know? Noel Gallagher of Oasis wrote Stand By Me after giving himself food poisoning. He had moved to London and his mum kept calling and reminding him to eat properly. So Noel cooked himself a Sunday roast but unfortunately gave himself food poisoning and was sick for two days.  

Did You Know? Fake Plastic Trees was the US the follow up single to Creep. Radiohead singer Thom York described the song as 'The product of a joke that wasn't really a joke, a very lonely, drunken evening and, a breakdown of sorts'. It began with a melody that he had no idea what to do with and he decided not to force the song in any directly but to go with whatever was in his head at the time. 

Did You Know? Sunshine of Leith is the title track of The Proclaimers second album. It's frequently played at the Easter Road Football Stadium of the team Hibernian F.C. whom The Proclaimers support. Craig Read who wrote the song considers it the best song he's ever written. 

Did You Know? California Dreamin' was written by husband and wife John and Michelle Phillips. They wrote it while living in New York City during the winter longed for sunny California where Michelle was from. They originally sang backing vocals on the song when it was recorded by Barry McGuire and later recorded their own version as The Mamas and the Papas.

Did You Know? John Sebastian of The Lovin' Spoonful wrote Daydream after hearing Baby Love by the Supremes. The song was loved by both John Lennon who had it on his Juke Box and Paul McCartney who wrote Good Day Sunshine after hearing it. 

Did You Know? Beautiful Crazy was the 5th song by Luke Combs to reach number 1 in the US Country Airplay Chart, making him the first artist to have his first 5 singles all reach number 1.
