Did You Know? Don Felder of The Eagles wrote the iconic intro and chord sequence to Hotel California in the key of Em without using a capo. But when he showed it to Don Henley to write the vocals Don Henly wanted to change the key of the song all the way up to Bm. So to make it possible Don Felder got his capo and put it all the way up on fret 7 and from there haunting intro to Hotel California was complete.
